The history of our tool changers started with a pain point – we found the changer in one of our machines to be lacking and decided to develop something better. That was over 20 years ago. By the time we see one of our cam-controlled tool changers again for maintenance, ten years have often passed. After that, it usually takes another ten years until the next maintenance appointment. The customers of our customers are especially happy about such long usage intervals. We develop products for real-world use, not for a reunion.


WASSERMANN Through and Through

When it comes to engineering and manufacturing automation systems for tools, pallets, and workpieces, we’re second to none. We produce more than 700 tool changers annually, and 90 percent of the components for them are manufactured right here in our own facility. After all, customized solutions are best when developed in-house.


Protect Your Processes and Spindles

In tool changers with spring-loaded locking mechanisms, the tool can become unstable after the spindle tension is released. The patented locking mechanism in WASSERMANN tool changers secures tools in the clamped state before the lifting movement starts. Cam control prevents the tool from striking the working spindle when it snaps into place, thus extending its service life.
